Nancy
Weninger
Nancy is the founder of the Marin Team. She retired from her teaching
career in June, 2002, and now spends her time training and working with
two nonprofit organizations: Team Survivor and the Marin
County Bicycle Coalition. Nancy began competing in Danskin triathlons
in 1999, and has completed 15 sprint and Olympic distance triathlons.
Her involvement with the national Team Survivor organization began in
2001, when she took over management of the poster
fundraising program. Her desire to work directly with women survivors
to help them become more physically active led her to start Team Survivor
Marin in March, 2002. She finds her "work" of hiking, walking,
running, swimming, cycling and mountain climbing with survivors to be
huge fun and emotionally rewarding. Nancy is certified as a Personal Trainer
by the American Council on exercise.

Auditor. Penny was honored nationally by her peers with an outstanding
achievement award in August, 2001, for her work. She has a B.A. and an
M.B.A. degree. Penny is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and has participated
in numerous triathlons, including the Danskins in San Jose, Denver and
Seattle. Penny has also volunteered for the Breast
Cancer Fund, and has participated in several week-long benefit rides
in Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Penny is currently serving on the board
of Taking Refuge, a new non-profit that will provide yoga and other support
services to cancer patients and survivors. Penny will soon join a climbing
expedition with the Breast Cancer Fund.

Services for Women in Larkspur.

the Danskin triathlons in 2001, which was the beginning of her involvement
with Team Survivor. Lynn has served on the Board of Directors for Full
Circle Programs for Children, Marin Association for Retarded Citizens
(MARC) and the San Rafael Leadership Institute. She was also a member
of California leadership and Napa Leadership programs. Although she will
eventually return to her job at PG&E, she is now mostly a mommy to
